About PSS

The Pharmaceutical Society of Singapore (PSS) is a non-profit professional organization representing the professional interests of all pharmacists in Singapore. Founded in 1905 as the Straits Pharmaceutical Society, PSS is now steered by an elected council comprising a president and 11 council members. Our membership is made up of pharmacists practicing in the community, hospital, marketing, sales and distribution, manufacturing, regulatory and academic sectors.

The mission of the PSS is to "maximize the contribution of pharmacists to the healthcare of Singaporeans". Our objectives are to provide leadership that will enable pharmacists to:
  • Provide high quality pharmaceutical services that foster safe, efficacious and cost effective drug manufacturing, distribution and use
  • Contribute to programs and services that emphasize the health needs of Singaporeans and the prevention of disease
